My dad has recently sort of semi retired, and is looking for little jobs to fill his time. He is making me a large wooden box for the yard which has been measured to fit things like grooming kits, fly spray bottles etc perfectly and will be lockable, as mouse proof as possible and damp proof.

I jsut wondered if there's a market for these? I'm not advertising as he's only making one for me really, but I just wondered if in theory other people would be interested? and how much would you pay for something like this?

Thanks

I think there defo would be a market for them!! I think if you advertised locally you would get a good little trade going - they would have to be cheaper than ones in catalogues etc but I bet someone would pay £60 easy for one that was big enough to hold a few rugs in! xx

I would be interested in something like that, I've got one of those blanket boxes which is brill but it's a shame it doesn't have a little shelf for your grooming kit or whatever.

I'd definitely be interested too. I bought a big plastic chest from B&Q which is fine, but it just gets in a complete mess as there are no compartments for anything. Something big enough to fit travel boots, spare tack, thin rugs, saddle cloths etc in but designed with horsey gear in mind would be fantastic. I would probably pay up to about £80 for something like that.
