My OH and I have started to import and supply shavings in our local area. As far as I'm aware we are cheaper than any of the local shops/feed merchants. I was thinking of putting a 'buy it now' option on ebay, but do people buy their bedding from there? We do shavings (similar to Bedmax) and a chopped straw/shavings combo (similar to Bed Down). Any hints greatly appreciated!

I don't see why not, your problem would be payment because if you take the money via paypal, won't you lose too much money in fees ?

You don't have to use PayPal. Many sellers allow you to phone up and pay by credit card over the phone, or even invoice you. I think you have to say on your ad that you take PayPal though.
And yes, I would buy off ebay if it were the right quality and price.

I would buy shavings off eBay if the price was good and the seller had good feedback. I have more confidence in eBay sellers with good feedback than I have in some of our local suppliers!

I imagine you'd have to be collection only which would limit your market considerably as if people had to pay carriage it would no longer be a cheaper option.

Have you looked to see if anyone else is selling shavings on ebay? If not then I'd suggest there's no market for it because people would not go on there looking to begin with
