please can someone help Im just about to buy this horse but after playing around her today I noticed her right knee clicks every time I lifted her leg up I am going to get her vetted but should I waste money vetting when I think there could be a problem already xx

she is really really good you ask she does bless her.. I will always have second thoughts about every thing because I'm so indecisive about most things in life lol she is fine when riding it's just when you lift her leg up will talk to the vet and go from there thanks for replies

We have got a sec a who clicks on both back legs. She is 14 and is a cracking little games pony that jumps like a stag and hacks for hours through the forest with no ill effects. I didnt know about it when I bought her and the first few weeks I was a bit worried but as times gone on less so.

Hi

I wouldn't worry to much about the clicking, mine do it from time to time and they don't appear to experience any problems or pain from it.

I even click and 'pop' from time to time and can make my hip do it on command. It doesnt cause me any problems, I'm only 26 and I am very active in a multitude of sports, horses, kite boarding, snow boarding, cycling and on my day job I sometimes have to use ropes to access high/awkward areas.

I wouldn't walk away without investigating further if she ticks all the other boxes?

Robert

Klicking joints are the result of "joint mice" and don't necessarily mean anything. If you want her, let the vet do his job and then decide.

my pony's back leg clicks it has done since I first had her (aged 8) and she's now 25 its her only leg that has never (touch wood) had a vets bill

I must have her twin! Mine is exactly the same and never had a problem with the clicks. She does all the same things and is an absolute gem!
