I know someone who didnt enter SOE but is taking 2 horses tomorrow to try and blag his way in, in the Novice.

Does this actually happen? And do you think he will actually be allowed to compete!!

Wouldn't have thought so unless he's someone famous! On the other hand, if they have withdrawals on the day I suppose they can't fill them otherwise, so it's a possibility - let us know!

you should have! I have done before at local events, even if I didn't get in at least you get to school them there, which with youngsters its great.

It's a long way for you to go, HJ and then not get in! I think XC schooling is a much better idea

Would prob only do it if I had another horse entered and was going anyway.

i've phoned the secretary like every 30mins for the beginning of an event to be told no spaces etc, then put him on the lorry taken him for a ride round there and miraculously "got in"

Just have to try, wouldnt' want to be driving long ways to do it though!!!
