Kass is pretty forward going. She doesn't like being alone and can act pretty nervous at times but if you show her who's boss she soon settles. She loves jumping and loves a good gallop but she hasn't been properly exercised for a while so will need some schooling first, although only for a couple of weeks. She can be a pain to catch and its advisable to go armed with treats (she will love you forever). Her temperament is spot on, not a nasty bone in her body. She has never bit or kicked but will buck rarely, out of nervousness. She is easy to tack up although when she first meets you she will try it on with the bit but if you shout at her and tell to stop being silly she will stop and allow you to tack up in peace. You sound as if you would be able to cope with her. We have the farrier coming out either tuesday or wednesday so around then in the evening would be good if thats ok for you, to come and meet her?
 
Ah, so shouting is how you get them to co-operate.

Yes, I'd probably go and see her - with someone who absolutely knows their stuff!

To be perfectly honest, no. However, that is primarily because I am just too amateur to deal competently with something that bucks, buggers off, can't be caught and needs to be shouted at to stand still to be tacked up (WTF?).

Reading between the lines, this is a very nervy, spooky horse that needs a very calm and competent rider - which I am not ! If you are, though, and she does everything you want her to do, then go for it.
 
Oh, that throws a whole new perspective on it. So you're not buying her, just exercising her. So she's nervous, a pain to catch, relatively unschooled, bucks out of fear and is a pain to tack up. I wonder why she hasn't been "properly exercised " for a while. too. Could her owners be a bit too scared to get on her? Presumably her owners want you to "cure" all these ills for free...

Go and see her if she sounds nice but for goodness sake see someone else ride her before you get on her !
 
The owners sound like they personally can't cope with her. It sounds exactly how my mum describes Jesper to people. She lists all his bad traits as she finds him difficult and too much for her, whereas personally I think he's lovely and not that difficult. If you are an experienced rider then I would certainly go look. All horses have their quirks, this owner has simply decided to inform you of all the bad bits! At least you go armed with the knowledge.

I havent time sorry! But she sounds sweet i mean you rarely get a pony/horse what is perfect in every way do you! They all have there mischevious sides =]
