Would you pay for something that didn't work???

I had the vet out to bandage my horse, he had arthroscopy and needed hocks bandaging. He had travelled from Newmarket in ones put on there and they stayed on fri till mon. Had my local vet out to bandage him on the monday. The bandages fell off, on one day had the vet am and pm as they unraveled. Eventually had robert jones splints on and they stayed put.
How would you feel at having to pay for all the ones that unravelled?
I had to gaffa tape them to keep the robert jones ones on as they just started to unravel as the vet was leaving.

I'd expect to pay for the second call out but not the re-bandaging
