I recently bought a new crash cap (a v popular brand- don't want to name as I might be being daft?) I has given me a big rash on my forehead- I do have sensitive skin and suffer from some quite odd allergies so prob just me.
Do you think I should return it or give it a good scrub out and hope it stops? Presume I won't be able to return it if I have scrubbed the inside as it will prob go bobbly? What do you think I have never had this problem before even with other hats of this brand x

you could try but I wouldnt of thought they would do anything as it doesnt sound that its actually faulty. I think they tend to exchange things if the strap breaks or something like that.
I tried to return a hat once because it had stretched so badly. They told me it was because I had had my hair cut so there was more room in the hat!

in Horse mag this month there is an article about Hats Vs no Hats (im not starting this debate!!!)
But Emma Hindle the dressage rider choses no Hat as it aggrivates her Eczema and allergies.

I would send it back - Or try a very very thin cotton (buff style) headband to create a comfy layer???

Most retailers won't accept returns on riding hats as they are safety equipment and they can't re-sell them. I would imagine the exception would be if the hat was faulty.

I'm sure you can buy disposable liners would they be worth trying?
