This is towards the inside of our 22 year old cushings mares right hind leg
Vet thought it was fractured initially (done on Friday), but she's hardly lame on it now. It's very very sore and swollen (cellulitis) though. She's on 10 days of antibiotics, but i think she'll need more because her cushings prevents her from healing properly.
Anyway, just wondering if you think it could be self-inflicted? Like stood on herself with her other hind when standing up? Or maybe something to do with a rug surcingle? Not another horse imo. And i can't see anything in the field that she could have done it on.
She can't be boxrested any more, so she's locked in our manege with a round hay bale. She's a pain in the ass! She's already fractured both back legs in the time we've had her
