Would you use a freelance groom? (market research)

Hi. Just wanted some feedback on the use of freelance grooms. I am considering it however i wouldn’t really know where to start and need to know if the market for it is out there.

Any feedback would be very much appreciated but I’d like to ask just a couple of questions to get a feel for the market:

1) Would you use a freelance groom or use help from family and friends?

2) If so, would you prefer to pay:
per horse per day?
per hour?
per task? (mucking out/lunging etc)

3) And how much would you be willing to pay for stable and yard duties, and for exercising? (if you dont mind me asking, but if ud prefer not to disclose this information its no problem )

I would use a freelance groom, as my family and friends are not to horsey! I'm on DIY so would be really helpful sometimes

2) If so, would you prefer to pay:
per horse per day?
per hour?
per task? (mucking out/lunging etc)

I would prefer a set monthly fee, after discussing tasks/hours/days etc and anything not set out in the agreement could be charged extra like poo picking for example.

3) And how much would you be willing to pay for stable and yard duties, and for exercising? (if you dont mind me asking, but if ud prefer not to disclose this information its no problem )

It really depends on what I was asking them to do.
For example though - 3 mornings including mucking out/feeding/turning out/rug changing .. around £65-75 pw? I don't know what min wage is though so that may be to low??

thanks for your quick reply and answering the few questions i have, it will really help
as for the £65 per week, that wouldnt be too low, i would be on £6.08 min wage, so to earn £65 in a week i would have to do 11 ish hours work and i wouldnt think it would take me that long to do some stable and yard duties a few times a week. thanks for your feedback though, much appreciated
