When hiring a transporter to take your horse(s) out for an event, ask the transporter to use another persons yard driveway, rather than get said transporter to drive another half mile to your yard along a lane? (which also has stopping place further up).
If you did the former, would you bother to ask the YO of the yard who only has single track driveway access if you could use it?
Or would you just do it anyway, even tho you wont pass the time of day with the YO, and you risk blocking her access for a good half hour each time, drop hay in the driveway & also upset her horses in the yard each time you do this?

(not the hired box drivers fault I hasten to add, just what he is told to do!)

Trouble is Mrs M, is that this is all crossing private land (complicated).
I've just got the hump that a neighbour (who is at least 3 yards/10 acres over) keeps using my access driveway to load & unload her horses each time she goes out, tho I never seem to catch her doing it!
I know she is tho, as my adjacent neighbours tell me (its usually when I've just left or just before I arrive!) and also my bigger fuzzy is usually very stressed after its happened (and thats what bugs me most about it all!)

Whatever happened to common courtesy in asking??
