Would your dog defend you?

Ours are only tiny but they would, especially our little rescue
(the middle one in my sig) He saw off burglars!

the chihuahua on the right in my sig sits under my nephews cot if any one new goes round!
 
My lurchery type Heinz girl and GSD both guard the house and car with mad eyes and snarling teeth - no one will come near unless I'm there. They literally throw themselves against the door, and lunge at hands held out - they don't half look the part, and I think people would have real second thoughts about breaking in.

I'm not sure what they'd do to be honest if they had to guard me, I had a GSD previously (died a few years back) who was a big softie and suprised me when she actually did guard me, so I think they probably would.
 
Hell ya!iv a lab whos an absolute sweetheart when she knows the person and when i bring her for walks shes happy go larry when she meets people(well apart people with dogs bt dats another story)but the one time i went out at night far the walk and was a bit nervous of a drunk lad yelling across the street she poofed herself up and started growling..she does the same thing if someone arrives in a car to the house until they say her name thens shes all friendly and wags her tail...and i love her for it cos iv never felt scared or worried when im on my own as long as shes there
