wound how long to heal (also in vets)

How long would you expect it to be for a wound to heal over a fracture site? The scan revealed an infection over the bone, which she has received a prolonged course of anti biotics to clear it up, the fracture is the splint bone. The wound still is not healing 3 weeks on. We have been using flamazine cream on the wound with no success? anyone have a similar experience?

Has the infection cleared now?

The vet thinks so but she has not re-scanned yet. Its so frustrating bless her, trying to keep the flies off it is a nightmare!
