Wow- I can see why my old pony started refusing to jump!

For those of you who remember my old chestnut pony, who I bought to hunt for peanuts as he wouldn't school/hack alone/showjump....

His old owner added me on facebook, and I looked though her pics and found this one of him before we bought him. I can't quite read out the year on the bit at the bottom, I think it's 2005? Anyway, that means he would of been 4/5 in this photo...

He started stopping and broncing when he was in a showjumping ring with his old owner, so we bought him. I managed to build his confidence back up by taking him right back to 1"6ft, and eventually he was winning at 3ft level, but we didn't try to push him as it was obvious he was a hunting pony! He had one hell of a jump though, I don't think he ever had a pole down at all when we had him...

Which would be worse so hope it is 05.. how big do you reckon that fence is?

He is a field ornament at the moment, but he is for sale again

Long story, but basically the people we sold him to totally ignored what we said about the fact that he doesn't really "do" showjumping (we warned them enough times!), and they tried to showjump him... she was a tiny little girl, and she got terrified and has given up riding altogether now.

They phoned us up and tried to get us to buy him back...

I stand corrected, he is 11 now, so if that was 2005 he would be 7 in the pic if it was 2005, 5 in the pic if it was 2003..which isn't as bad as I thought actually!

13th aug was a wednesday in 2003... and saturday in 2005... so my money is on it being 2005.

7 isn't bad then? i hope... my horsio is 7 and has been jumped up to 1.45m by previous owner... x

It's definitely 2005..as Summerhouse didn't have their surface in 2003 at the summer show. It was still round the back in the grassfield then (I competed there 2003, 2004 and 2005)! And I was at that show on the 13th August 2005 as I remembered that date as it was a friends birthday
