Just a quick one for all those who have these saddles. Can you use normal stirrup leathers or not? Just getting fed up with these fiddley things they come with and having a very tall OH we already have two sets of the damn things to change everytime we ride as not enough holes on one set!

Thanks, I shall get some then - really fed up of swapping the two sets of leathers over and other people who ride for me can be in between the two sets anyway so they have to ride long or short.

HIya, if you do use normal stirrup leathers just be careful because the leather of the stirrup leathers will cause the soft leather on the flaps to wear quicker. if you do use normal leathers try end use some calf skin ones, eg jaguar, albion, amerigo etc as these will not wear the flaps. I have seen holes worn into flaps by people using normal butt stirrup leathers on soft hide saddle flaps

Actually the wow leathers are quite rough!

I use normal ones on one saddle and some Webbers on the other. My you the normal ones are calfskin amerigo ones I picked up cheap on eBay (I have short legs and they are child size!)

I also made wow put a stirrup retainer (the thingie you put the flappy bit of the leather into) on both my saddles.
