I discovered last night that my steel headplate for my WOW has snapped. Has anyone else had this problem before? I've contacted WOW directly and they 'can't really believe this'. Saddler is visiting tomorrow so I'll be able to show her the evidence too as will have to get a replacement.

Yep has happened loads, got rid of mine after snapped whilst riding. It has been a common problem I believe! Think they have also withdrawn their new lightweight ones due to snapping (one went on cross country at Bleinheim). Not good in my opinion!

I knew mine had snapped as it went whilst riding and the whole saddle lurched to one side! Very glad that I wasn't on my young horse! That one had snapped on one side, the other snapped on both sides (the screw bits came out the tree/saddle) and collapsed onto horses withers... never put them on my horses again!!

Stupid question - how do you know the head plate has snapped?

You can see the headplate if you turn over the saddle and it was quite obvious that it had broken. In a WOW they are interchangeable so easy to see.
