Getting them out wednesday so is my friend.
Sat in them at burghely and fell in love with them.
What also pursaded us more than anything is the flair system and the interchanging gullet things, as i have a 5year old so this would be very practicle.
I liked the fixed jumping block saddle, i also loved the dressage saddles (but thats another time!!)

so just wanted to hear some comments on them from people that already have them etc....

Thanks
Rach

love mine-as does the horse. had a vsd on trial, now have GP with moveable blocks and really dont like riding in anything else anymore! Some people dont like Flair in the beginning so personally I would recommend a trial of at least a week.

personally I don't like them but more people I know love them than hate.

I personally didn't like the feeling in trot it didn't feel right to either sit or rise. I rode in a dressage one several times on someone elses horse and it just didn't feel right and I found it very hard to therefore ride the horse effectively.

So given the choice I wouldn't go for one, but as said it seems to be either you love or you hate them.

I love mine! I would think you are being fitted by Fiona who is great. Its made a huge difference to my horses way of going AND thinking. It also means i can finally sit still as Im in balance.

Good Luck with your fitting - it will be money well spent!

I sat in one at last years RHS and though i liked it, wouldn't ever buy one, as they are so heavy, which is fine if you got strong arms and your horse doesn't have a weight limit, but not so good if strength is your weakness...if you see what i mean!

Also know someone who did buy one, but had to get rid as it gave her a really sore back, and with having non curable bad hips didn't want to add to their problems

well the lady has been! it was fiona she was lovely. I fell in love with the event one.
The saddles is so soft on the horses back and creates now pressure which i really like.
Also it is extremely comfortable!! I loved it!

Extremely pleased with it! would reconmend to everyone!!

Im so glad you love it - I would NEVER be without mine now . Hubby rode in mine yesterday (on his own horse) and is gagging for one of his own - heehee.

My lad now over-tracks in walk, comes through from behind in canter and jumps ANYTHING which for a horse that has spent 8 years refusing to approach ditches or fillers - is just TOTALLY amazing.
