Sorry for this, I know there has been a lot of discussion about these Wow saddles recently. Could someone either tell me in this thread or PM me to tell me their experiences of these saddles. I can't stand the saddle that came with my horse and OH says he'll pay for a new one (er it might be wise to give me a rough extimate of what it'll cost him in case I need to let him know gently

). Has anyone bought a new horse and got a Wow saddle straight off without trying others first? I'm all new to this, can you tell?!!

I've had loads of saddles in my lifetime.

The wow's can certainly have teething troubles at the start, so it is very important to get a good fitter. Ideally find one in your area that someone has recommended.

However you can adjust every aspect of them, which is simply not possible with other saddles. I won't say I've got mine just right, but it did certainly stop my horse striking off on the wrong leg and has allowed him to use his shoulders jumping.

I play with mine and have bought a pump kit, that's the beauty you can be as hands on as you want, or leave it to your fitter.

They have to be more comfy for your horse as no more lumps, and a tree that moves with them with the bonus of changing flaps should you swap disciplines.

Hopefully they are a saddle to last a lifetime.

I'm really lucky and live just down the road from the manufacturers of WOW so I went to them for the initial fitting and then David came out to me for the second.
I had no idea they were local to me until I read about them in H+H and I thought when they first came out that they were hideous but keeping an open mind I went and had a tour and a sit on a saddle and I don't think I've ever been so suprised as to the utter comfort of the saddle. Now I have my own it is the only saddle that I've owned that does not give me back ache. I've owned a Passier and Kieffer dressage but now prefer the WOW. It did cost £1600+ though!!
