Does anyone have a wrist speaker? I keep seeing the Equivisions ad on FB for the wrist speakers and audio tests and am wondering if they're actually worth the money/any better than just playing stuff through your phone speakers? I've spotted what appears to be an identical wrist speaker on Amazon for a fraction of the price, so trying to work out if there's an actual difference/whether it's worth bothering with getting one in the first place.

Am hoping to get M out to our first comp in a few months time so figured this could be an alternative to OH freezing in all weathers whilst he helps me learn tests :D

I've got a cheap Amazon knock off wrist speaker. I don't use it for dressage - I tend to play music while I'm schooling through headphones, but if I'm stick and balling I find I can't keep the damn things in my ears, so I like the wrist speaker. It's also superior to my phone speakers in that it drains my phone battery a lot less and is probably a bit louder / clearer (that might depend on the phone?!).

when I asked re. ebay/amazon speakers that look the same they said the difference was 'support' so if you are ok to get a bluetooth speaker going ;) which I've never had an issue with.

Fab, thanks JFTD. I currently just chuck my phone in a pocket and have it play off the speakers but it's a pain in the bum to change tracks without unzipping and fiddling with gloves so wondered if this might be a better option. Can I ask which cheapy one you got?

Haha that's an awful lot of "support" you're paying for!

It's a B20, possibly by a brand called Yuhai (but frankly I'm not sure if that's what it says on the box :eek3: ). The instructions are crap but it's simple enough to use for bluetooth. I haven't quite got the FM radio stuff to work though.

I got the Amazon one for £10 its identical to the ones sold the the DTM companies - its really good. easy to use and much louder than my phone speaker.

I used it for practicing my DTM and it was really easy, much better than trying to fiddle with my phone!

I bought one from Amazon for a tenner but not used it yet lol keep forgetting to get it out!

I think the ones they advertise on FB can also come pre-loaded with spoken dressage tests at extra charge? Think I've seen that, not sure... but wouldn't be difficult to do this yourself on your phone to play back.
