Hiya guys, a bit of an odd request... but does anybody have any ideas for writing on horses? I want to write happy birthday on a friends coloured ob because she'd love it :D I did it in purple spray last time but would prefer something that would come off easier! Would a coloured chalk work?

Would love to see pics too :D

What about poster paint. Its water soluble, so should wash off easily. Will probably be brighter and clearer than chalk :)

Will investigate the paint, thanks guys! I have some glittery hair gel (I'm a bit ashamed of it though) and tried it but the writing was very unclear unless right up close but I might pop a bit in his mane and hooves....

If the horse is coloured, say for instance piebald... I would write the words that cover the black in white, and the words that cover the white in black if you get my drift? Would look cool :D

If you want to just write freehand, use a chalk pen from Hobbycraft. Kuretake make them, and are about £5 each. You need the Posterman type. This was done with them

It was done with colour stencil masks though.

Chalk sprays will also withstand a shower, and we use Molotow temporary chalk graffiti sprays.

If you want something quick and cheaper and are using a stencil to apply the design, get some party hair colour from Claires Accessories. We have been using and selling similar to this for years.
