WTF IS WRONG WITH PEOPLE!

OMG!!! Cannot believe what we have just witnessed!......car coming towards us with only a driver BUT... driver is hanging onto a long rope attached to a coloured pony trotting hell for leather trying to keep up with the car! OH had to slam his brakes on to avoid hitting it. Couldn't phone police as village is in the middle of nowhere and no phone signal, not a phone box in sight! Nowhere for us to be able to turn round and follow him By the time I had a signal police couldn't do anything as he would have been long gone by the time they got there. Didn't think to get reg. of car as too busy concentrating on avoiding the pony which look absolutely terrified.

Goof grief! Poor pony! I often joke that I should bring Ned home and make him gallop along behind the car, but it's very very very much a joke!!

There used to be a woman who 'walked' her massive dog by driving around the village, with the dog running along side, not on a lead or anything. I dread to think the amount of accidents that could have happened! Sadly the dog passed away not long after she started this stupid exercise, but it was due to illness, not accident. But thankfully this didn't give it enough time to cause problems.

Unbelievable the stupidity of some.

I had a similar experience last winter when the roads were covered in ice and snow - a truck herding 6 ponies down a rural road! Not a headcollar or lead rope in sight, ponies slipping and sliding around, falling over in the road, and galloping into peoples gardens, fields and woods. When I intervened and stopped the driver all he was worried about was reassuring me that they belonged to him and weren't stolen!!!

Hmmm, that's how 'they' get them fit or from A to B without a trailer.....Seen it happen around here too.
