It isnt any worse its just beyond me how some people can justify this sort of thing by calling it a sport.
No animal deserves to suffer this kind of abuse, its discusting.

Feeling controversial tonight... I blame this kind of thing for some of the worst 'natural horsemanship' practices we see. If a country (I'm assuming this is the US, those lovely reining types...) regards this as an acceptable 'sport' then the natural horsemanship stuff (you know the brand I mean!) looks good in comparison.
