Well I've gone and done it! Website dedicated to the Amersham Horses is all set up. The idea is to gather press releases etc from the charities and put them in the one place. Also there are details of who people can write to. The petiton is still up in the air for now. Maybe tomorrow will bring some news.

If I have made any glaring boo boos with info on the site please tell me as I am no expert it this! As far as I can tell thought it is simple, straight to the point, not defamatry or accusing. It just gives plain facts. Hopefully it will be a focal point that people can broadcast.

So if you think it's alright please tell the world about it! If anyone has info that they think should be on there please email me. Details are on the site.

May I just query as to why we were not permitted to put a petition onto the 'Operation Esther' website? Rachmeister had drawn up an excellent letter also, we were told that the move would have been too political. Perhaps it would have had an effect before this happened and maybe some chance of it not ending up as it has.

You may be interested to know that the news about the Amersham horses has appeared in the daily papers in New Zealand. I had done a 'google alert' for JG and it came up as part of the news in a New Zealand paper. Word soon gets around - sometimes good, sometimes bad.

Well done to everyone that's what I say. I've done the easy bit I'm going to put my feet up now and let everyone else do the running. Let's just hope it makes a difference.
 
im going to contact the 2 papers tomorrow that done an artical for me ref oe, and ask them to do a follow up, are we allowed to use the website address
 
Reading H&H just now, what exactly is the "criminal case" pre trial review on 28th April covering. Is it the cruelty and neglect of his horses, or the assault on police officers. My immediate reaction to reading the report today was that he is not being prosecuted for anything other than bashing a police officer over the head, serious though that is.
I need to know because in addition to other letters I plan to write directly to the Prime Minister today, and want my facts right.
This just gets worse

If anyone would like to email their feelings about the plight of the horses, ponies and donkeys, please do. Your comments will be put on the site under the 'Amersham Horses News Updates' and sent to the relevant bodies. Feedback from the equestrain community will also be added to the documentation to licence and regulate dealers and traders. Who knows, perhaps if this was already law, things would be very differnt for the Amersham horses today!

just wondered if it would be an idea for the links for both this site and the forums (this and IH, as they are quite vocal at the moment about this) to be sent to the judge, just to give him an idea of the way people are feeling. There have been some really good comments across the forums about exactly why those horses should not leave the charities, nothing to do with JG as such but about the emotional and physical welfare of the animals.
 
The good news is that the new website acheived No1 status in Google last night for the search 'Amersham Horses'. Anyone who knows anything about websites will know that a for a new website on a new domain to get to No1 for anything is an achievement. Well done for spreading the word!!
