WWYD if the sack of dog food you had ordered online was delivered but the sack was open? (It's one of the plastic sacks with a zipper type opening and also a seal that you need to cut/rip to open it. Both the seal and the zip were open. Part of me thinks oh it's ok just use it, but the other part of me is thinking what if it's been contaminated?

I phoned the supplier, and they were a bit off with me tbh, saying that it would certainly not have left the shop in that condition, and they suggested I feed it to my dogs. They've asked me to send them photographs and an email explaining what happened...

Am I over-reacting? However small the chances are of it being contaminated with something that might harm my dogs, I can't take that risk can I?

I don't think I would. Mine gets sent by FedEx overnight for £4 for a 15kg bag. It is also inside another heavy duty tied bag so it's perfectly possible to ensure safe delivery. I would send them photos as they won't want too many repeats of this I'd have thought.

I wouldn't feed it to be honest. I had similar with a bag of cat food that I had as part of a delivery. The packaging was damaged, and then sellotaped (? spell ) back together. It probably would be ok, but there are some evil people around, and it could have something nasty added to it. I just didn't want to take the risk, it was very little monetary value, so I binned it.
Kx

I hate these companies that get all snarky if you dare to complain!

I'd definitely not feed it, complain again, and escalate it to a manager if they get funny again. Why should you risk your dog's health because they have questionable standards of service? It's not like you've accused them of anything, and I'd have thought they'd be pleased to know that their carrier isn't that fussy.
