Just mind your own business for your horses benefit you don’t want your horse abused because if he found out you can’t trust him especially if he ridden a horse for 3 hours.

I was all on the side of telling her until your more detailed post, and it is a tricky one indeed. You can't stop people buying unsuitable horses for themselves, and even if you warn her, if she wants the horse she'll probably disregard you anyway. A gentle hint like ihatework described is probably the best way of going about it.

Where on earth do you get the idea that the OP's horses would be abused?
The horse wasn't works for 3 hours, he was worked 3 hours prior to the viewing, for about 30-45 minutes

See I would probably try and keep out 8fvit, then end up blurting out to her your not thinking of buying that are you, or to the Pro are you for real do you want to wreck your reputation by conning someone as the truth will always out.
And then worry for months I will get kicked off the yard or have s fight and have to splst the pro with my snow shovels.
Good luck with this one

If he found out he could take it out on her horse because she warned the lady .
No, I realised that's what you meant but why on earth would you think someone would behave like that? I don't think I've ever been on a yard with someone who would take something out on a horse, I just find it bizarre that people would think like that.

If I was at a yard where I feared for my horse's safety, i would move it. I have done this before and it solved the issue.

I don't understand why Lexi thinks that the OP's horse is in danger or why they are fear mongering to that effect.

ETA - I remember that the OP said 'problems' in her first post, but it is still a big leap from that to the horse will be abused.

Thanks all. I would not really worry about the safety of the horses, more that it could cause things to be unpleasant. The yard is quite well run and he would know that he would be out in a second if anything like that happened.

Anyway the problem has hopefully resolved itself. The lady wrote to me just now saying that she did not feel good on the horse and is thinking to pass on buying, but do I think she is missing out. I just replied that the horse looks like a challenging ride to me, that I would never myself buy a horse who I did not feel confident on and would never advise anyone else to do so.

So hopefully she will now look for something more suitable and this horse will find an owner who suits better.

Thank you to everyone for your advice:)
