X country Colours

Go for anything except navy and an other colour quatered. Everyone has those colours and it gets so confusing.
Timing on staurday we ended up sound like a dulux wall chart, we "invented" french navy, ariforce navy, airforce blue, blue , navy , light navy, dark navy , well you get the drift!

One with contrasting stars on were good and red and green also showed up really well to.
Just PINK also seems to be very in at the moment. Even had a bloke wearing it!

can see alibear rolling her eyes now... navy blue and white and black, sounds very dar and boring which it is, but can i find atop to replace my old one anywhere? Nope! if you find a place lorian let me know pls.

I've told him its a very nice gesture but changing my colours is supposed to be bad luck

however he reckons my current back protector wouldnt help save my life - he has a point

I just hate it when dad's know their right.

There short sleeves tho' well come down over my elbows but thats it - everything else is covered. I currently have a rodney powell which is red/green which matches nicely.

I was thinking of going black shirt with gold hoops as winst wears a black numnah with gold Barnsby writen on the corners of it so that would match - could have a gold star on my silk with bobble?? its a thought - just dont want any bad luck

Mine are royal blue and black as before I had a chestnut and now a grey. Mine were from nagrags but i'm looking to change them as don't really like my jumper design

i have hot pink and navy airowear zippa plus body protector matching silk navy clarendon boots for horse and normally hot pink saddle cloth but goin lime green for my new boy. :):)

I have black with lime green stars, really stands out! I got mine from www.customxc.com, the website is excellent you can have pretty much any design in most colours and you can see the 3D design as you choose your colours...check it out!! They are really reasonable too - I always get tempted to change my colours each season and this makes it affordable!! x

This thread is just what I was looking for!

We've decided to put the boys into a 1 day event later in the year and I need to get myself a long sleeved shirt. I have a silk in chocolate brown and BRIGHT pink (you can't miss me!)

Am debating going for a chocolate shirt with hot pink writing/ stars on the sleeves.

Do you folks wear your body protectors under or over your shirts? My friend has a huge shirt and likes to wear hers under it, are there any hard and fast rules as to what should be on top layer?

Ebay!! With my old black cob it was black and white striped top, white jods, white numnah with black tape accross the corners and black brushing boots with white tape around in stripes, could spot us a mile away! Now with my bay we sport the John Whittaker colours (navy, red, white and black(boots and tack)) with our personalised numnah and coat, spoilt I know! :)

my colours are baby pink and brown. Technically to work the best according to the manufacturer the body protector should be worn over as thin/few layers as possible however its not always possible and they do tend to look daft underneath your xc shirt. I had my xc colours done quartered on my bodyprotector- an airowear and its fab so comfy and moulds to me :). I have a matching coloured hat silk with stars and atm just wear a plain brown/baby pink shirt underneath however I now have one with stars on the sleeves on order. Ive not seen anyone with the same xc colours as me and mine look fab with my skewbald mare; I think I picked the colours more for suiting her than me tbh! :p

my colours are
blue yellow

she wears 1 blue overeach boot and one yellow

one blue and one yellow martingale stop on each side
blue padded bridle blue padded martingale my x country silk and jumper are blue and yellow

My daughter has gone for navy and silver, she's going to get hers from a company called custom xc, they have a good website, fairly reasonably priced.
