XC boots

I like my Premier Equine ones. I know a lot of people don't like them, but I find them great. I use the same pair for a skinny legged TB and a big WB and find they fit both well. You see a lot of racehorses wearing the racing version and for me I think that's a great endorsement

I really liked the LM Stealth ones until I saw them in the flesh, they're flimsy IMO and the piping around the edge is really easily damaged on any used ones I've seen.

PE always come well recommended and they're what I'll be going for.

Every boot I've tried spins round! I have LM Stealth mk 2 boots which are great (unlike the current version) so I'm hanging onto them for dear life. I went round most of Burghley inspecting every boot I could find and they all have tiny, narrow, strike guards hence the spinning problem and I don't think having to do them so tightly a leg might drop off is a reasonable response whenever I've mentioned it to manufacturers. So I'm following with interest to see if there are any brands I've missed.

I like Premier Equine however it depends on your horse's legs. I've used them on tbs, one a chunkier nh type and one lighter built and they've been great. Friends with horses that have short but wide cannon bones have found they are too long.

Eta keep an eye on their returns and clearance section. I got all of mine 50% off

Thanks guys. I was kind of avoiding PE if Im honest as I had boots from them years ago which I didnt find nearly as good as the N.E.W ones. Ive still got them but they're just rather stiff I find and dont seem very comfy. Perhaps nowadays theyve improved them and are worth another go?
