ARe any of you going this Sun? Of have any of you had one with her before? I am taking Lottie in to the Novice class int hope to liven her up a bit and give her a new purpose. She is still green over rustic but never have done a clinic I hope she'll be more buzzy

I have. The venue is nice !!

I didnt like her much but i know alot of people do> I love XC clinic you do more that you would on your own.

have fun you will!

Thanks, I thought it was better to do it with an accredited trainer that has gone over a XC course in her live than another one on this weekend that is run by a person that does dressage.

I can ride, I just need guidance really if things o wrong etc as I am not the boldest rider over XC

I can PM you someone else local who will do a clinic if you need help> she is my trainer and she will go to coomblands and others. Matfield is nice too> If you want a good trainer wo is of olymic standard but not price let me know> she is fantastic, got me from a happy hack to jumping BSJA and Soon BE (when my 4 yer old is ready)

She is an eventer

Coomblands is great

PM me if you want more info

I will PM, doing the XC clinic more to give Lottie a change of scenery as I will never be an eventer but if she turns in to a bold jumping machine then who knows!!

XC is fun agreed but it also needs to be safe i agree and XC clinics are fab and fun, also you should be with peple similar ability so you dont feel the odd one out.

It will definately make her more buzzy. Make sure you only do what you want to any what you feel capable of, dont feel pressured being in a group, im sure you wont.

My 4 year old is stil V green (obviously) but we have schooled 3 times now XC and he is amazing even finishing on a drop into water! we are both quite confident though but i still have a lesson every week even though im a competant rider and go XC whenever i can. Are you going round firle on the 9th? thats a good little course for a fist time and no pressure as its a clear round??

I have never done a XC courxe, in fact this time last year I was saying I was never going to XC my horse or hunt, since then i've done 2 x XC schooling 1 at East Byshee and 1 at Woolgars, 2 x sponsored rides - 1 at Eastlands and 1 from Stonehall, 1 x XC at Warren BArn (v. scary and not novice course) 1 x ODE at Ardingly and I am planning to hunt next month.

I have been reassured I can jump bascially what I feel happy with, I need to get her happily jumping drops and ditches really, water she is fab with. I just felt she was bored of life and needs a new challenge. She has the jump and technique just not the confidence.

I am doing Borde Hill sponsored ride on the 9th so I can tuck behind my friend and pray lol
