XC / hunter trials?

Being an idiot, I have already managed to lose part 1 of the H&H competition guide. The information doesn't seem to have appeared on the website yet.

Does anyone know of any hunter trials suitable for starting a novice horse running in March / April in the midlands area (I am based in Northampton).

I already have MKEC on the 1st April in my diary, but they aren't running any pairs classes so it isn't really an ideal 1st outing.

Aiming Merry for his 1st intro at Keysoe in May - just the small detail of the XC to sort out before then!
 
Struggling to find stuff too.
Do you know if Eydon are running any? they are usually March time.

Im aiming for Larkhill at the beginning of April

dont think we will be going xc schooling before then.

I think Snowball Farm (about 20 mins further than BCA) run a hunter trial in April as i i did it on winston before we run in 2005.
 
Snowball Farm is too far for us. There definitely seems to be a shortage of unaff stuff this year!!

Didn't Eyedon get sold? Website hasn't been updated for ages.
 
Yikes....I didnt know anything about Eydon being sold!
I think there is a hunter trial Buckingham RC, sure thats Northampton way.
What about MKEC? when is theres?

Ive never been cos they used to use it just soley for Jrn pony club youngsters. Now they run Novice, Inter and Open plus pairs i think.
Bignal Park is very pretty, hacking distance from me. Natural stuff, hedges, walls etc.
Will ask Suzy as she knows loads about it.
Shall do a search on PC webby. Boss is in so may take me a while.

Warwickshire Team Chase have got a pairs class at 2ft9.
Its about 4 miles from Banbury.
Its on the 18th March though. Is that a bit soon?
 
That would be great fun! Will have to check with my friend to make sure she doesn't need me with her baby as she mentioned it to me yesterday. If she doesn't then I would definitely be up for it. The only minor hitch is I'm selling my lorry so I may need a lift!

Failing that, Winston and Lexi will have to come out and give Snoop and Merry a lead lol
 
ooo yeah brilliant - not sure about lead bit?!? sure Bud will might be bit spookey/excited though!! would be fun day and prob good for me and Bud having fun no pressure!?
 
Sounds like a plan - can I take Winnie or Bud up on the offer of a lead?

Merry is very sensible and I won't have any problem staying behind / out of the way (although perhaps I am speaking too soon...).
 
Like I say, can bring winston, if nec.
Aleka check if your friend or if you will def have transport.
Eliz/sillymare I am happy to go round with you on snoop or with Lexi and an SM can go round with you and Merry.

Dont have a schedule. Will have a search.

Would rather just bring snoopy as i know my boys will scream for each other as both latch on to new friends quickly, but am happy to bring the big man if nec. Mind you, havent jumped a solid fence since August

Winnie can keep Merry company when Lex / Snoops are out - Merry will take the box apart on his own!!

Lex will keep Snoops in line while Winnie is out.

I'm confused now and entries close on Monday - who is actually coming?

I can bring Lexi if necessary (good lead horse) and definitely want to bring Merry who needs to follow someone.

So it would be slow on him.

If i can have lexi please for snoop, and merry and bud?
Plus I dont think im as fit as you S!
 
that sounds good to me, think Bud has new shoe's due so will get holes put in.

will just have to check with mum, could ring her in a min (when my boss leaves office heheh)

Right then.... Aleka get your friend to agree to do pairs with you.
Snoopy can follow Lexi - and hopefully give him DC tips regarding BSJA.
