This was us on Saturday!
Whe ever said arabs can't jump eh? Barely 15hh, purebred polish arab.

Does that look like an intro-type fence? Want to try a BE intro on a ticket in the spring!

Yeeeeeeeeeha!!

I have a friend that has an arab, he is retired now but in his hey-day she jumped 1.15m tracks with him at BSJA. He was around 15.2h and the most amazing, gutsy little horse i have ever seen. In fact, he was part of my inspiration to get where i am now!

Great picture! Good luck for the future.

Yay...go little arab! H.Tobago's stallion General Lee Gold used to compete Novice BHTA (as it was then) years ago. My friend also went straight in at novice on her arab

I know, I can't wait to try loose schooling him when we move to a yard soon with a school - I'd love to see how big he can go. We're comfortable now over 1m, have jumped 1.10 with me on board, but will be so interested to see what he can do without me getting in the way!
His old owners were there watching yesterday and they reminded me that when I bought him 4 years ago I said I wouldn't be doing any XC as it terrified me - and him! we've learnt together though and I trust his jumping ability so much now that we'll give most things a go!

he he, and that was about fence 10 out of 20, on his second time round! Already did the 2'6 class earlier in the day, bless him

Gorgeous horse.

A friend of mine had a pure bred Arab that jumped up to Foxhunter easily - so I know Arabs can jump !

Aww, thanks guys, I know I'm biased but I think he is great!! Deffo going to try a BE intro on a ticket next spring, either tweseldown or little mattingley as someone I work with says they are nice ones to do locally. Plan is to affiliate BSJA after christmas though as can't afford to affiliate more than one discipline and SJ is our first love (although enjoying the XC more and more these days!).

He he, I LOVE Tamarillo - because he looks like my horse

I'm even trying to convince my OH to let me breed his mare (ISH but mostly ID, exactly the same bay as my lad, but with a white star) with H Tobago (chestnut arab) to try and get a baby version of J but a bit bigger! I'm going to create my own mini Tamarillo shrine!

great pic, lovely horse.
someone i knew years ago used to do Team Chase Opens in a team called The Teetotallers, and they had a pure-bred arab (i think it was grey) that was a stalwart of the team for years apparently, used to lead them all over the most enormous fences. so the next time someone comes out with that "arabs can't jump" rubbish, that's yet more ammunition, as if you need it!

Thanks Kerilli! I don't listen anyway - people do still say it sometimes, or just give us funny looks, but anyone who knows him changes their mind - our RC team is funny actually, as the two most regular team members in SJ/XC this year are my arab and another lady's Andalusian stallion!
Do particularly enjoy getting placed higher than people who doubt his ability though
