I feel I need to go xc schooling in the next 3 weeks (before the PC ODE at berriewood as want to do the 90). Does anyone fancy it? Will probably go to Llanymynech I expect though open to suggestions. I can only tow one horse so you'd need to be able to make your own way there.

Fingers crossed someone fancies coming along! :)

I can't come, I just wanted to say i'm prob doing both the ODE's at berriewood so I'll prob see you there! And llanymynech is excellent schooling at the moment! :)

I am going to do the South Shrops one at Berriewood, then all being well the BE90 at Stafford. You must pop over to say hello!

Glad to hear Llanymynech going is good, and that there's a corner since that's on my list to practise!

They have all sizes of corners from teeny to novice! Its my favourite place to school, i went a couple of weeks ago and he did the whole 90 course :) Ill be doing the 80's at Berriewood, their trekhaner is far too scary!!

It rides surprisingly well! I jumped around some of the 90s at B/W last summer, before I did the 80 at the SSPC event, and instructor made me do that one. I was terrified but apart from horse was fine, jumped it nicely. I did the BE80 this weekend and it was a really nice inviting course :)

I didn't think Llanymynech was open, I rang last week and it was closed.............

I did wonder - was going to ring them later today and find out. Not sure where else to go if they're closed. Berriewood are closed. Lincomb is feasible I guess but a bit of a mission. Somerford is much too far, as is Kelsall. Where else do we have within about an hour of Shrewsbury?

Berriewood are reassessing on Thurs so fingers crossed, erm, I am struggling to find anywhere too, all my normal haunts are closed :( what about the Ilse at Bicton? Not much choice but better than a poke in the eye?

Hadley isnt too far?

I don't like Hadley. They don't really ever add new fences and the biggest there is an 80cm I think...? Rudge Riding is better than Hadley I think, which isn't too far.

Hadn't thought about the Isle but good idea. I don't need much, just a few decent 90 fences to pop over with ideally a ditch and a corner. I suppose I could go up to Kelsall but it's further than I wanted. I think Lincomb is open...

Ive never been to hadley. What about bow house? Im sure they have a couple of big corners, they have steps, water and a couple of shallow ditches?

Will put BH on the list. Can't get through to Llanymynech atm but no big rush as don't want to go for another 2-3 weeks anyway by which time we could have had weeks of torrential rain and all events cancelled, or a heatwave and we'll all be moaning about hard ground! ;)

Berriewood would actually be my preferred place to school since I'm doing the 90 course in June, but had discounted it as was so wet on Sat. I mainly want to get over that trakehner (sp) despite having done it before, and the big round fibre glass thing they've now painted red!

It's vile today isn't it! :( I was looking forward to a nice hack then cycling tonight. As it is, pony might just get a quick lunge to hopefully dry him off enough to put a rug on. I might take up knitting.

Yes, it is officially yuk :( Looks like it *might* dry up at the weekend provided they don't change their minds again ;)
