XC Schooling near Bury st Edmunds

Where can you go XC schooling with fences up to BE Novice height within a hour and a half of Bury?

Gt witchingham is probably your best bet

Can you school at Poplar Park? Also Little Downham.

Poplar is much further and not so much there to jump.

Stratford Hills on the A12. Might be just over the time or there is ely eventing centre. I live near bury and cant think of anywhere that is nearer but might be wrong

She's going to a HT on sunday at Stratford Hills. She went to Little Downham last week.

I'll tell her about Great Witchingham

Ely is a lot closer though, the website says up to 3'6 - are they actually that big?

Little downham run an intermediate so lots to jump

I was going to say Ely Eventing Centre (Little Downham), lovely course for schooling. Proper Intermediate fences and plenty of Novice fences too.

Yes, Ely is Little Downham.

She went there last week. She's also doing the ON at Little Downham, but hasn't been to a BE event for a year so she feels a wimp.

there is soham too that the pony club use up to novice I think not sure if you can hire as never have. Ely has some big jumps you can view them on the website

Soham PC use Isleham - jumps go up to Intermediate but you can't hire. Suffolk Hunt PC use Ickworth, which would be near to Bury, they supposedly go up to 3ft6 but I don't think they are that big!

Ely is shut at the moment ready for their BE. Don't know when you wanted to go.

Soham do not hire out their course.

ash says ickworth have about 4 3ft 6 jumps, one of the corners is 3ft 3 the rest are 3ft or smaller
