I think I had heard that there are new courses/reasonably new courses, one in godstone and another somewhere near chelsfield/orpington - any one got any ideas what i'm talking about?? I kept seeing the latter one advertised in pegasus or something i'm sure...

Or if anyone has any ideas for anywhere else to go tomorrow - somewhere pretty and interesting as there may be none jumpers coming as well - we've done east byshhe, lockskinners, higham farm, warren barn, just now in need of somewhere different!!

Oooh? Gosh I haven't heard anything, but will keep my eyes peeled. Will you let me know if you find out any details?

Hiya

I had heard that Blue Bell farm was good? not been there myself....

We did Warren Barn a couple of weekends ago (my daughter won the novice0 was very good...

There is one over in Matfield.... Jem won the individual junior over there.... cant remember the name of the place but the XC course was well up to 3ft height... it was an Area 10 event...

Can try and find out more if you want.. or just remembered... what about Speedgate Farm..... we are doing the ride for life there soon.... not sure how good the course is there... been a few years since we done it..-

Blue Bell is good to a point. There isn't much there if you are use to jumping round better tracks like East Bysshe, Warren Barn etc. All the fences are set out in one field really and although there are many different types at many different heights there is nothing really technical.

It is ideal for starting out with a novice or green horse or rider

I agree with that! Its nice enough but not big or technical, but Lodge Farm and Chilham are much better.

Speedgate is unfortunately I think just that bit too far in a direction I'm not used to!!

I hate driving to areas I really don't know with the trailer!!

However the one you mentioned in Matfield is I think Lodge Farm and I keep meaning to do that - sounds really good and I kinda know that area!!
