I took Ben XC schooling at Littleton Manor (working there over the summer - so Kate gave me a lesson one afternoon - very spoilt)

Bit of history; Ben is my 1st horse, i have had him since June, he is 5 and ISH and not done masses (lots of hunting) and is just generally a massive dude and very typically irish!!

Just did tiddily things - my 3rd time ever xc and his 2nd (i think)

He's by Cavalier Jump For Joy. Awww, I LOVE coloureds :) What do you plan to do with him?? Lauren

He's gorgeous! Ever thought of showing him? His got great markings for coloured classes!

Thanks JoJo I have been thinking about doing a spot of showing, but he has a wonky tail - hangs to the left when ridden, and also windgalls - so I was a little worried about being laughed at!!

DOAR i plan on hunting him through the winter and then eventing next season, as he is my first horse though ANYTHING and EVERYTHING having spent 20 dreaming of owning a horse, now I want to do as much as possible!!

ooh, sounds exciting! Sounds pretty much like my plan too - Stan's 6. He's having a go round an Intro at the end of October, so fingers crossed!!

Well enjoy him, he is gorgeous :) Make sure you post how's you're both getting on!

Great pics, looks like you had a great time! Lovely horse and I'm no good at CC, but I would say give with the hands a little and try not to lean so much forwards but fold back from the hips :)
