XC Schooling South Wales/Bristol/Glocs

Alps (did we establish if that was open in the end ? )
Hilltop (for proper fences but that's in Ledbury and my geog is usless!)

Haven't got round to checking if Alps is open yet, although it's Caerphilly Hunter Trails there on 3rd May so guessing it must be soon if not already.

Have a feeling there's somewhere near Llandow/Cowbridge but not a clue what it's called ?!

I know of Triley Fields, Abergavenny.

Is it possible to hire Severn Vale's XC Course? And I know of New House Farm in Rudry but don't know if there course is available for hire, any takers?

Whitebarn ? But it depends on what type of fences you want really ?

Never heard of Whitebarn.. where and what kind of fences?

Newport according to my Chauffeur - nothing very technical but a range of fences ( I still managed to fall off !

No website but I'm sure they advertise from time to time in Adtrader or I can get the number of a lady at the yard tomorrow ?

looking for babyish stuff at the moment to give a young horse that I think has been overfaced a bit of confidence. But at the same time want solidly built decent stuff if you know what I mean, just not too big!

Leyland court would be my first chocie for a baby horse. Whitebarn is in basseleg and has lots of little fences but the water is horrid and lots of horses won't go in it.

Sounds like Leyland court it shall be then.

Have no issues with water though so won't write off Whitebarn. For some reason she's best at water, ditches and stone walls!

Thanks guys

I was at Leyland court today for a hunter trial and the ground if really good and the course open for schooling. They have everything from about 2ft in a schooling field up to about 3'3 and have a nice water fence.
