I am looking for exactly the same! EEC is closed, not too sure about Greenfields but I know East Lothian pony club are hosting a session on the 2nd March at Tynningham (sp?). You just book a slot and can go solo or in a group, no instructor is necessary but you do need insurance.

There is Smeaton in East Linton, East Lothian - it is a cross country schooling area with a good selection of fences for hire, steps, logs, rails, ditches, sunken road etc.
Not sure who to contact but alot of schooling sessions get run their over the season.
Holefield is also a possibility but further away as its near Kelso but excellent facility.
It's so difficult at the mo as no one wants to trash their ground understandably!
Hope this helps. :p

Caroline Grey is the contact at Smeaton and is usually the earliest place to allow folks to school depending on ground conditions. She usually has folks coming ahead of the Duns HT which is 10 March this year.

There is Edderston as well (just south of Peebles) but not sure when that will be open. He advertises it all year open but not sure. David Jones contact there

Strathearn Eventing will sometimes open early for XC schooling depending on weather and ground. They have good old turf
