as per the title. How many seconds do you reckon a stop on a xc course would use up.
I'm talking a simple, canter up to fence, brakes on, circle in trot 3-4 strides out & boot on, smack smack, canter straight over and away in canter. No fuss or fannying about.
I was 1m29s over the ot at aswanley, but with 3 stops, inc one at the water, which took a moment longer to circle as it included getting back in the water. i was wondering how my time would have stood without them. I was in a very forward canter most of the way, but did check a little before all but 3-4 fences and trotted 6-7 strides out from the large drop after my near mishap.
What do you reckon?
