XC?

Does anyone know of any xc courses in the Midlands that would we suitable for an unconfident rider? ( basically I'm a wimp

) I'd love to be out and about doing hunter trials and what not but I have confidence issues and want to go xc schooling on a fairly small/enclosed xc course such as Field Farm to build some courage up. I've been to Aylesford but found it too big and open.

I would say Deer Park is quite good for a novice, I suppose it is sort of open but it's not bad. It's really annoying to get to though and not sure what part of the Midlands you're in as it might be a bit far. I also think Lincomb is quite nice, again a bit open but it's sort of split into fields which makes it feel no so big. There are a few others that I can think of but haven't personally been to them.
Whereabouts in the midlands are you? (My suggestions may be a bit to far but may know of others etc).

Deer Park is always good, have huge variety of jumps from tiny tiny fences upto a good 3.3ft/3..6ft course with lots of variety including 2 wwater jumps. There are also some random jumps in the midle of the main field that it is in and a SJing course.... deffo good place for a novice, well everyone really!

Newton Cross Country Course in Nottinghamshire is supposed to be very good as it there are quite a lot of jumps in a small area.

Cranoe Chasers in Market Harborough is also meant to be very good!

Depends where you are in the midlands.
Eland Lodge has a good 'mini' course.
Stydd House would be good.
I suppose these are quite open though... Eland not as much.
