There's a house down the road from me with the blue lights up at their window. Been up since the 1st. I am however giving them the benefit of the doubt - I don't know who lives there so they may be for Diwali not Christmas. Bet they stay up till Jan though!!

I do agree- far too early for lights, or trees, or decorations in shops!!
 
please, please just shoot me right now!

Bloody hell that makes me sound old (i'm only in my late teens!!) I used to love christmas, but since getting a pony i can't bloody afford it! Is it possible to hibernate :(

Sorry for the excessive use of the word bloody!!
 
Have to confess I brought xmas cards in October!! Although this is because this year I am determined not to be the only one out of our entire family who forgets to send cards to all the rest who live in London and out of the UK (OH's mum reminds me of this every year for the last 5 years!!) I will be a good GF this year I will!!!
 
YEP Lights are up in ormskirk to lol - mmmmm when my daughter was little tree and lights went up xmas eve - carols playing, mulled wine for adult, marshmallows on open fire etc and was most special time of christmas miss that now she is 21 lol
 
Oh god, this really does my head in, why the need to put decor up now, i mean honestly, the shops round mine had christmas stuff next to halloween stuff, whats the point????
Not seen anyone near mine with lights up yet. Though there are a couple of houses which have left some up all year, there's a house near mine that really goes over the top, you can't see the house for lights, and there's a nativaty scene in the garage, complete with fake sheep,cows and people!!
I'll have to get a pic when it's all done.
I defo think we should post pics of the most done up houses :)
 
Could be to do with Diwali (sp) as that starts on 5th Nov. Watched a programme on it last night and its very much like Christmas with lights, the brighter and more colourful the better, and presents. Think from memory last night, the programme said it lasts for 5 days.
 
Meadowhall always used to put them up for Oct 25th (my b'day)...Didn't notice if they had or not this year tho.

Tho my YM's daughter came back from nursery with a list of 'carols' to learn today...Tho I use the term carols in the loosest sense of the term..they had the classics, but then she also has to learn songs about baby jesus to the tune of head-shoulders-knees&toes, and christmas bells to the wheels on the bus (Me thinks someone ran out of ideas)


(on a side note...I've had my lap top a month....why is the 'F' key being stubborn already!)
