Yeah but i'm a cheapskate, its much easier to get some laccy bands and secure two reins together than it is driving to the tackshop and buying a pair for £30 that i'd probably not use beacuse i can't be bothered to change my tack between jumping and showing!
I want some too ive only ever seen these for sale for pony showing never seen them in horse size must do them somewhere surpose there good for kiddys two reins little hands strong pony lol x
I had mine made by www.mrhsaddler.co.uk. That way they were the exact length and type of join I wanted, I wanted buckles rather than a sewn split so I can adjust them. Can't remember whow much, but cheaper than the ones above I'm sure.
I always knew this type of rein as a "Kit Arkle" rein, were very commonly used on ponies wearing pelhams as roundings were thought of as rather common and modern (showing my age here!!). Other useless information is that the chap who designed them (Christopher Arkle) lived in the village in Northumberland that I grew up in - sorry totally irrelevant.
If you require a specific size and colour you could try Lisa at www.bespokesaddlery.co.uk she makes to measure, all hand stitched. Will not be the cheapest on the market but uses quality leather and produces super bridlework.
