You might remember about a month ago, Coblet left the paddock on his own the first time ever with no napping. We've done this a few times now and he's been getting better by the day.
Today, on our route which we usually take on our own was blocked off by cows crossing the old railway line! There must have been 100+ cows waitiing to cross so I wasnt going to hang around and planned on turning around and going home and do a bit of schooling. Got to the turning where we usually go left, which takes you on another track home, however you can also turn right which takes you on a track you can have a canter on, leads out onto the main road and we turn off to go around the bottom of the hill around to roads, very hilly, we have done this route, about 45 mins, in company many times before. So I decided 'why not' and turned right
He didn't even question it, just went!! Had a lovely canter up the track, despite the evil chicken farm with killer chickens
He was a star, no napping what to ever, he didn't even hesitate!
We survived the whole route, so I let him have a splash around in the ford on the way home
*ETA, we did this in a snaffle

We have plenty planned for the next few weeks, as I have finnished my exams! yippee! We have Hunter Trials (in pairs i must add
) Pony club rallies (haven't done any besause of my exams). Our first funride of the year now we have found a new bit that *might* be able to stop him! It's one of the best funrides around with over 100 XC jumps, so a good on to go to before the trials
And of course our usual tuesday night Show Jumping!
So expect lots of photos and videos of him!
Oh... his mane is almost on the floor...what shall i do with it?!
