WARNING THIEVES ABOUT IN SOUTHERN HAMPSHIRE. My yard gates were rammed this afternoon between 1pm and 5pm and smashed to pieces. They broke into my landlord's barn but weren't able to get the big door open so looks like they didn't get anything of his.

They took all my batteries running the electric fencing (Four). What is worrying is that they would have had to go into the field WITH DENNIS to get them. I am horrified at the thought as Dennis would have greeted them like they were his best friend. They've been in my hay barn which now has a big padlock on it. As a precaution I have taken all my rugs, bridles, boots, headcollers etc.

Its hard to tell what else has been taken as it is too dark.

Police don't really want to know and will send someone out in the next few days.

Thanks for that as also in the area.

I have security lights and cameras and have never had any trouble however speaking to neighbour at weekend he has been broken into and tack was stolen.

Will keep vigilant.

Really sorry to hear this :( Thank you very much for info - we are in STubbington - have messaged people on yard to suggest they take their saddles etc home and maybe we will leave our horses out in the bottom fields for a few days.

I also have security lights, 3 different ones but this was in broad daylight. My landlord lives on site and didn't hear a thing!
