Yard burglery in East Herts

Our yard got burgled last night, we are near Buntingford in East Herts. They took a number of saddles and bridles and a pair of leather boots. No rugs or other equipment and thank goodness nothing done to the horses!

So sorry to hear that. I'm near Buntingford too. Would you be able to PM me with a location. I'll doubly check everything is secure at home. It's ironic that the police were doing an awareness day near Buntingford SAt and Sun, tack marking etc. They also had stolen belongings for their rightful owners to claim.

Any sightings of vehicls etc to be aware of?

The problem in rife in the area atm, so villages have been systematically targetted with the theives going from garden to garden

I wish I had known about the police awareness days and I would have got my tack marked.... do you have contact details of how to go about tagging tack in future? Interesting that it seems to be in the area at the moment. Hope they don't get anyone else's stuff.

Maybe you could get the police to visit the yard and mark tack once it's been replaced, I think you just contact the police force. I ge facebook notifications but can't find the name of the page atm, will have a look and let you know
