Yard owner liability insurance - necessary when renting out whole stable block?

Hi there,

we will move to our own yard next year and I will not need all the available stables for my horses.
There will be a stable block for 3 horses, a shed for hay, a tack room and a whole field I will not need.
I was thinking about renting it out to someone who can use it for DIY. No service from my side.
Do I still need a yard owner liability insurance? Maybe someone knows by any chance?

Unless its covered by your house insurance yes, public liability. They should have there own insurance, a least third party.

Ah, the house insurance - didnt think about that. Thanks for this advice.
And yes - I will ask for a horse liability insurance.
