How much would people expect to pay to rent a yard with 5 boxes & approximately 5 acres turnout. Well-maintained with storage in Hampshire area?

Have a look at what DIY livery prices are near you, and for what facilities. At a guess I would say anywhere between £15 - £25 per horse per week. Assume there is water and electricity?

I'm actually looking at renting myself. I currently rent a couple of boxes there but am thinking of approaching the owners to see if they would be interested in renting the whole yard. Would want to pay a flat rate rather than per box obviously trying to keep costs as low as poss so just looking for ideas of going rates. It's a nice little yard with electric & water. No school on site unfortunately! Just wondered what would be deemed reasonable before approaching them?

Friend rents similar set-up only twice the size, 10 stables and 11 acres. She pays 1000 per month so approx. 100 per horse per month. Has outdoor arena and horse walker, nicely maintained place.

Maybe just ask how much they want? They may surprise you and not want as much, preferring to have one person rather than lots, and therefore less hassle for them.

I rent 7 acres and two stables, I was prepared (or rather expecting given what similar set up's go for) to pay about £200 - £300 per month, however I pay £10 per horse per week, but I do all the work.

im on cambs/lincs border & pay £20 a week for whole yard.
2 stables, small woodchip paddock, 3 acres post & 3 rail fenced grazing, hay racks in feilds, mains water, eletricity included & 24/7 remote monitering (when i can remember my log in details)
best of all is its out the way, quiet & peaceful. you wouldnt know there were animals in there once the leaves are on the trees (exept mine like to watch cars go by!!

Thanks for the replies everyone. Aoibhin - Think I need to move to your area! Will speak to yard owners but if they just want to do it on a per box basis not really worth my while so hopefully they will be happy to negotiate. No great rush for few months - just thinking about future!

Im in Nottinghamshire and rent a yard, I have 3 big stables, tack room, a big sand manege, water and just over 3 acres, i pay £40 a week. Only downside is that i dont have electric so if i want to clip i have to borrow my dads generator. There are lights in the stables but they have to be run off a car battery.
