In a morning how long do you think you would need to
Feed and Net 21 horses
Collect 14/15 of the nets and buckets
Turnout 19 (2 are on boxrest) horses into two seperate pens in groups of two or three (so 4 to 6 at a time)
While groups are out, muck out 3 boxes (big mix or deep litter/straw/shavings/rubber mats etc) (anything between 10 - 15 total to do)
Fill 20 nets
Sweep yard and liveries passage

Or how many would you say it was reasonable to muck out in a 4hr timescale?

Realistically? 10-ish if it's case of deep litter or sweeping out mats. We used to do 20 between two of us but it was literally a case of sweep out, chuck into wheel barrow, add a new trug of shavings to the pee corner.

I can just about get 10 done if I get my arse in gear!!, but got there last weekend and there were 15 - took me an extra 2hrs, had some other extra things to do too, was soooo knackered am only used to doing my one! Anyway, owners are v.nice and apologised for putting on me (I did get paid for the extra) and I just have a set 10 to muck out and a couple less to turnout!

Still took me longer today, but have a cold and felt crap, was on a bit of a go slow :-(

That sounds intensive! Is this to get an idea for a part timer and what they can do? Would be better to pace yourself rather than go at it hammer and tongs and burn out before you're halfway through IMO. Would it just be mucking out or bedding down as well, it'll make a difference?

To feed/net 21 plus collect nets/buckets = 1 hr (easier if you can collect old nets/buckets as you feed instead of having to go back again, does that make sense?)
Depending whether rugs need doing, each batch of horses would need 15 minutes (out then in again) That job will be the biggest time waster IMO!
Depending how far muck heap/bedding is away from the boxes, it should be possible to have them all mucked out even if nothing else was done and providing they are a tidy worker and don't trail muck everywhere!.
Would think you need to allow at least if not more than an hour to fill 20 nets.

Whoever did all that would appreciate a decent brew as well I would think! Will be interested in any replies you get but it doesn't help not knowing the set up, how far you have to walk from box to muckheap/turnout and so on.

MFH_09, its my new part time weekend job! Taking a bit of getting used to!

Some beds are left up and some are put back down.

Its Quite a compact yard, the muckheap is set off the main yard but you walk past it on the way to the liveries boxes. The turnout pens (two sandpaddocks) are at the end of the liveries block, only a couple of mins walk.

The horses are left overnight in breathable turnout rugs, so no rugging to do.
