Yard workers - boots

Hello,

Just wondering what footwear those that work on yards wear?

I would like something that is comfortable, hard wearing warm and waterproof, that will last well but not cost the earth.


Do such boots exist?

I did have muck boots but I wore the soles through ( as in huge holes) in less than 4 months.

Another vote for the Ariats - they are expensive (ca £200) but they are very hard-wearing as long as you look after them, mine are on their 3rd year and are still warm, comfy and waterproof

Wellies or riding boots?

I wear le chameau wellies and when I still worked on the yatd I wore hiking boots if I wasn't riding. Half the price of horse boots, warm, lightweight and comfy.

To ride I had and still have Hunter Perths but they dont make them anymore. Mine are about ten years old now!
