Does anyone know of any good yards in the Croxley Green/Sarratt area? Ideally grass livery as my boy is used to 24/7 turn out. Or DIY with decent year round turnout?

I remember one when I was a lot, lot younger, have many happy memories there. Privately owned. From memory, drive down croxley green, away from Ricky school. Past Loudwater Lane on the left. There is (was) a brick wall on the right hand side of the road. Keep going around a left hand bend. (There is a track in front of you with a house on the left, sitting off the corner). Round the bend left and then right hand bend. Follow the road along and I think its the first on the right, what was a single track. It leads up to a large house on the right, owned when I was a mere girl by a Mr Baldwin. The fields are on the rhs, the road you have just come along wrapping around them. Straight up the track and there is a yard gate, set off to the right. The stable yard is there. Can't for the life of me think what its called. Is it still there? Would be interested to know. When I was there there was a Mrs Talbot and Anne Talbot. Mrs T clipped dogs there. The yard holds many childhood memories from when I was about 10 to 12, it was my second home. I am now 44! And haven't been back since. Nice to know if you actually get there x

The yard you are talking about is Cherry Trees Archies Mummy. I have one pony there and work there! No 24/7 turnout but allowed out until 5pm winter time and out at night in during the day summer time. Lovely yard. I also have my youngster turned out 24/7 at the bottom of Baldwins lane. Its a massive field with loads of grass and stables but no school or electricity but super cheap and lovely people. I love it there. PM me for numbers! :)

Thank you everyone! Potten Farm is a definite no. I had him there when I first got him and wouldn't recommend it. Shame because its a lovely looking yard with great facilities. But my boy wasn't looked after very well there.

I know a lot of people have left there recently! There is also a fairly new yard at the top of Bucks Hill which looks nice, only a small school and they have to come in at night in the winter but I think they can stay out all Summer or come in during the day. This is where a lot of the ex Potten people have gone. Grazing is quite lush though as it's a beef farm.

Thats bucks hill beef farm and its completely full with a long waiting list. The yard does have some out at night in winter, it doesnt have any firm rules per say. Also be careful RE mentioning opinions on yards as the owner of the yards are on here and dont take kindly to it funnily enough!
