Hi, can anybody recommend a decent livery yard in Cardiff / Caerphilly (or reasonable distance), ideally with good turnout, school, hacking and part livery??

Rockwood & Ponderosa are both in Caerphilly, no idea what either are like to livery at though.
Ive a friend with a yard up in Abertridwr who takes liveries, its stable & grazing, they have a brandnew school & the hacking isnt too bad up there as your not far from the mountains. If you want their number PM me & ill pass it on.

Pencoed may be a little far for me, I suppose ideally around rhiwbina, lisvane, and towards rudry, but saying that I'm looking at all options so would be really good to hear where you have in mind.

Try PMing ILikeThemHairy. She was looking a few months ago and made a list of as many as yards as she could find with some comments on them all. She sent the list on to me and it's very useful but I don't feel it's my place to pass it on.
Sunnybank would be the big one that springs to mind. With it hosting lots of competitions though, it doesn't suit everybody if you want somewhere quieter. Stocklands is similar but not quite so many competitions and might be too far west for you (between St Fagans and Pentyrch)
All the others I know of tend to be further west (Vale of Glam) as that's where I am.

Hi, for a short time and it was a long way back (but am pretty sure the yard is still there) I was at a lovely tiny yard by the Wenallt. You go up Past the cemetery towards Caerphilly mountain out of Cardiff. At the top is a pub used to be The travellers Rest. Turn left opposite and head down this road. The first yard didn't used to have a school but then there are a few houses and a little yard not far after. Like I say I'm going back some time but might be worth a try.
