On the hunt for a yard, ideally between Newport (Shrops) & Cheshire border - the direction I travel in usually so of most convenience, but realistically (as I am well aware they are rather rare) any where within a 60min ish drive of Newport.
Grass livery would be perfectly fine, ideal in fact, but also in an ideal world looking for something where he would be out with other youngsters or at least 1 other horse. I'm not sure whether it would be worth contacting any studs & seeing if they have an infrequently used corner of a field for a very small boy? I'd be quite interested/happy to do some work on a stud yard or a yard producing m&m show ponies in fact so would be very interesting!
Otherwise I will be looking to find a field to rent... and forking out for decent fencing! (although happy to do this at a yard also, if necessary). Not that I have much issue with that, safety first of course, and a potential excuse to find yet another pony...! Potentially it will only be an issue for a short amount of time though so not sure about this (meaning, he may end up being gelded at the end of the day!).
If anyone knows of anything, I would be glad to hear. I would like to get this sorted out asap, definitely not something I want to be sorting last minute.
