And surrounding areas!

Following on from Stimpy's post re looking for yards I am looking for part livery (muck out, turn out, rugs, feeding etc)

Must have useable school and be a mainly "adult" yard with knowledgable staff!!!!

Have been driving around but just wondered if anyone had any particular suggestions.

Headley Park Farm is lovely!! The standard of care is superb, the facilities are great and the hacking is out of this world!! I couldnt rate it highly enough. Its all adults and everyone is lovely!! I really miss it

ETA: Saddlecombe is also very nice.

Have done some more research and know quite a fewww...

Paddock Lodge - Ashtead....have rung them and left a message, but no reply yet!! Will tell you when we find out whether they do part livery or not...

Headley Trace stables - rang the owner, the yard sounds lovely, although it just does Full livery

Courtland livery stables - Banstead - Assisted is 297 a month...

Ebbisham, although you will know about that lol!

This is the Kent way, but might actually take the same time to go from where you are to kent than it is Surrey...

Shannon Leigh stables - odd name, in Bexley but have had a lookie at website and looks LOVELY! www.shannonleighstables.com

Good luck, will you let me know if you go and see any of the above? xxx

Yes, Part and Full livery only but I think its full at the moment and they normally has a waiting list I think. Its only liveries really- Mr Coloner only has 2 horses now.

I think Ty would suffer a hernia if I took him back to that road - that's where he came from....Courtlands,mmmmm, never heard of it

Hi,

There is Hallega who do part and full livery. Very nice yard but is full most of the time. Worth popping in. Just after the cricket pitch along headly road.

Tumber Lodge who do DIY, assisted, Part and Full. I used to be stabled there. Next to headly heath. Across the road from saddlecomb so you can hire the school and hack to it as well.

There is a part/full livery yard along from the army base. Sorry not very good with road names. Can give you directions if you PM me.

Also Horton Farm off Hook road in epsom do all sorts of livery.

Good luck

Amanda

do NOT goto Horton Farm

can also try the yard in the dip of Slough Lane run by Louise B. - she's just moved there from NOrth Lodge and is a very good person.

turnout, school, hacking excellent

Hallega is very good and run by friends of mine

one of the riding club committee run Hazelwood Farm in Bookham but I don't know anything much over that way - but they run clinics there for jumping and dressage.

Is that the name of the stables? Where are you based now?

Out of interest does anyone know Starrock Farm Stables in Chipstead? I only ask as my horse used to live there, according to his flu/tet...

That's really interesting actually and not at all surprising as a) he is terrified of men and b) he is not papered but very likely to be ish and is known to have come over from ireland. The owner was down as Nicola Lyon-do you know her?

Have you tried Chase Farm Stud, The Warren, Ashtead. Used to know it years ago. Don't know if it's changed much but they had nice facilities and were in a lovely setting.
